The Revenue Commissioners have published a document containing detailed FAQs on these Budget changes, including a range of scenarios. Reminder VAT change from 1st January 2012

The Value Added Tax (VAT) rate on the sales and purchases of standard goods and services in the Republic of Ireland will increase from 21% to 23% on 1 January, 2012. All Irish VAT registered businesses will need to adjust their accounting systems to reflect this change.
