According to Revenue’s recent statistics on the Local Property Tax (LPT) campaign, just fewer than 180,000 letters issued to homeowners in the first week. This represents circa 9% of the total expected letters to go to homeowners over the course of the campaign; the majority of homeowners are still yet to receive their LPT information and return.
For those homeowners who have received their LPT letters, 258 have submitted their returns to Revenue so far and 321 have filed their LPT return online. Approx 2,000 calls have been made to the LPT helpline and over 600,000 visits have been made to the Revenue’s valuation guidance website. The above numbers together with some reminders on valuing property for the purpose of the LPT were published in a press release available on the Revenue website. Revenue has also published further information on the LPT payment options published on the LPT section of their website.
